Go Ahead Jump On The Marvel bandwagon
Ok, I will admit I was a bit skeptical about the combination of Robert Downey Jr, Jon Favreau and what appeared to be a cheesy suit. Boy was I wrong. Iron Man definitely delivered on all counts.
Bob Jr. was a wonderful Tony Stark, Gwyneth was an excellent Pepper and the special effects were top notch (Courtesy of ILM).
The only suggestion I have if you are a true comic book nerd; Stay through the credits.
I stand by my prediction below, Iron Man will top 08

I believe the movie will do well but it will not be the top money maker for 2008. There are a lot of other big money movies coming out that have more of a mass appeal than Iron Man.
It got $104 million on opening weekend. Expect half that this week, then half (or more) the next week.
Now were you talking quality or just bucks?
The word of mouth is spreading even more with this movie. Expect another 75 million this weekend. The only movie with a chance of catching it will be WALL-E
