I Gotta Wee*

Yes, you read that correctly. I am now the proud owner of the repeat gift of the year.

I know what you are thinking, "what took you so long?"

Last year I bought a PS2, mainly because I couldn't find a WII and the PS2 was cheaper. Well, after hearing all year how cool they are I finally broke down and bought one and I even had it in time for Christmas. So how was I able to find one?

Honestly, I owe it all to my friend Chris who wrote a Perl script to monitor an RSS feed and had his machine beep and blink like crazy once it found one available.

1. Find a website that tracks Wii merchants and supplies an RSS feed wiitracker.com -- DONE

2. Write a simple script to monitor said RSS Feed. -- DONE

3. Go to reported Merchant and purchase product -- DONE

4. Wait -- DONE

5. Receive product and fight off the Giggle Loop during a customer conference call -- DONE

We Are So Doomed

Ok, I have to say when I first saw this I just kept shaking my head.

Are you kidding me, is there seriously an electronic banking version of Monopoly with Credit Cards??

For those that follow this little blog you may remember my fairly long article about the recent mortgage banking crisis and how GREED and CREDIT have created this downward spiral.

First it started with toy cash registers. I bought one for my kids about a year ago and sure enough it has a few bills and some coins but it also comes with ATM and Credit Cards.

I just can't believe they are now making Monopoly without the paper money.

Wow where did 2007 go?

Hi there avid reader. It's been a while since I've posted, although I have 16 items in my blog drafts. Wish there was a way to post topics in progress. Maybe I will just paste in the list.

So, I love tests. Yes, I'm being serious. I love all tests, quizzes, surveys, ratings, etc. We even have daily trivia contests at work but Betty always wins, it's unbelievable how much useless crap that woman knows.
I was always that kid in school who waited until the last possible minute, usually on the bus, to cram for the math test only to pull an 84% and then I was promptly shoved into a locker or hung over the 2nd floor balcony, but I digress.

Here is the latest test of my geekness and if you ask me for the URL you certainly aren't geek enough to even take this test.

89% Geek
